Inventory Item Images

With SIMMS Inventory Management software users can employ the Item Images features to assign numerous images to their stock items, and assign one of them as the default to be displayed on the Item Manager screen. Whether used by staff to visually identify goods within the warehouse, or by managers to build a catalog for use by sales staff and customers, or to supply the e-Storefront module with visuals, the image features are both practical and easy-to-use.

Users should choose images that show the items off to their best advantage in addition to have a manageable size. JPG/JPEG, GIF and BMP formats are recommended for use, due to their high visual quality and compact file sizes. In the kitting (BOM) process, job cards can also display images of the stock being used, so that warehouse staff accurately can confirm the items being used are those that are needed.

With the help of a setting found in SIMMS Global settings you can now include your images on sales transactions to the left of the applicable items giving you the ability to showcase the item with image illustrations raising customer awareness to your products.

In addition to image assignments to the items themselves, SIMMS also permits the assignment of the user’s company logo to the center of the SIMMS main screen, in addition to onto the content of the user’s report headers, which can be customized using the Crystal Reports editing features. With successive versions of the users’ catalogs, new images can be selected as their defaults, keeping newer catalogs fresh and visually captivating for both your staff and your clients. Logos can be converted easily using all standard image editing software, or KCSI can help by converting existing logos to the sizes needed. SIMMS’ Item Images features can brighten and enhance your company’s visual footprint in the marketplace.
