The unit of measure feature in SIMMS Inventory Software provides the means to:
- Define unlimited units of measure such as "Each", "Case", "mm", "cm", "oz", etc.
- Use our simple unit factor field to assign the conversion factor between units of measure. For example, the assignment is as easy as selecting a meter and millimeter and assigning a 1000 conversion factor (1m = 1000mm) and assigning that conversion factor to a specific item, each item can have a unique conversion factor.
- Define a Standard unit of measure.
- Define a Sales unit of measure.
- Define a Purchase unit of measure.
- Select the unit of measure you would like to sell an item in during a sale or when creating a purchase order and the conversion will automatically take place behind the scenes to reflect the unit of measure in which you normally stock the item.
- Buy in one unit of measure, stock in another unit of measure and sell in a third different unit of measure without having to worry about any of the calculations.
